Georgia remains unbeaten, and Gunner Stockton looked every bit like a quarterback capable of leading the Bulldogs into championship contention.

Stockton had a monster afternoon, throwing for 295 yards and three touchdowns. He was poised, accurate and completely in command of the Georgia offense. Whenever Vanderbilt threatened to make it interesting, Stockton had an answer.

The Commodores hung around for a half, trailing only 21–14, but Georgia’s talent and depth eventually took control. The Bulldogs dominated the second half and turned a competitive game into another comfortable victory.

My question about Georgia hasn’t changed, though: How good are the Bulldogs when somebody finally punches them in the mouth?

Georgia is undefeated, but it is also largely untested. Vanderbilt played without starting quarterback Jared Curtis, and the Bulldogs have yet to face an opponent capable of exposing their weaknesses for four quarters.

Stockton looks legitimate. Georgia looks powerful. But we still don’t know exactly how powerful—because nobody has truly tested them yet.

That changes next week against Alabama.
