Everybody seems to be talking about LaNorris Sellers and Arch Manning as the most dangerous offensive players in the SEC this season. They’re certainly deserving of the conversation.
But if I’m a defensive coordinator, the player I least want to game plan for is Ole Miss quarterback Trinidad Chambliss.

The guy can beat you every way imaginable. He’ll pick you apart through the air, extend drives with his legs, and if you get too aggressive trying to contain him, he’ll make you pay with explosive plays. To me, he’s the most dangerous offensive player in the conference.
Here’s how I’d rank my Top 5:
1. Trinidad Chambliss, QB, Ole Miss – The most complete offensive weapon in the SEC.
2. LaNorris Sellers, QB, South Carolina – A rare combination of size, athleticism, and arm talent. If he takes the next step as a passer, he could be nearly impossible to defend.
3. Arch Manning, QB, Texas – Elite arm talent, surrounded by talent, and capable of making every throw on the field.
4. Ahmad Hardy, RB, Missouri – A home-run hitter every time he touches the football. One missed tackle and he’s gone.
5. Kewan Lacy, RB, Ole Miss – The perfect complement to Chambliss. While defenses are worried about the quarterback, Lacy can gash them with explosive runs.
Just missing my Top 5 are Marcel Reed at Texas A&M, Cam Coleman at Texas, and John Mateer at Oklahoma.
The SEC is loaded with offensive stars this year, but if you ask me which one keeps defensive coordinators awake at night, I’m still taking Trinidad Chambliss. He’s the guy I wouldn’t want to see lining up against my defense on Saturday afternoon.
