The biggest stars, toughest performances and clutchest moments from another wild weekend of college football.

COLIN SIMMONS, EDGE, TEXAS

HELMET STICKERS: WEEK 6

The Longhorns may have lost, but Simmons continued to strengthen his case as one of the best defensive players—and top NFL draft prospects—in the country. He finished with four tackles, three tackles for loss and two sacks. Simmons was disruptive throughout the afternoon and remains one of the few defenders capable of taking over a game from the edge.

JAMAL ROBERTS, RB, MISSOURI

HELMET STICKERS: WEEK 6

Roberts has turned into one of the hottest running backs in America. He punished Texas A&M for 222 rushing yards and two touchdowns, one week after running for 211 yards against Florida. That is 433 rushing yards in two SEC games. Roberts isn’t just running through open lanes—he is wearing defenses down and taking over games.

GUNNER STOCKTON, QB, GEORGIA

HELMET STICKERS: WEEK 6

Stockton was calm, efficient and completely unfazed inside Bryant-Denny Stadium. He completed 18 of 22 passes for 249 yards and guided Georgia to a 20–17 victory over Alabama. This was not about putting up video-game numbers. It was about operating the offense, making the right decisions and delivering in one of the most difficult environments in college football.

DWIGHT PHILLIPS JR., RB, GEORGIA

HELMET STICKERS: WEEK 6

With Georgia missing its top two running backs, Phillips stepped forward when the Bulldogs needed him most. The third-string back rushed for 120 yards and helped Georgia pile up 206 yards on the ground against an Alabama defense that had been allowing fewer than 80 per game. That is what being ready when your number is called looks like.

L aNORRIS SELLERS, QB, SOUTH CAROLINA

HELMET STICKERS: WEEK 6

Sellers played his ass off in the Swamp. He completed 23 of 35 passes for 279 yards and four touchdowns, added another score on the ground and did not turn the football over. It was the confident, aggressive and controlled performance South Carolina had been waiting to see. He led the Gamecocks to a 38–19 upset of No. 16 Florida and reminded everyone what his ceiling can be.

CHRIS COLE, LB, GEORGIA

HELMET STICKERS: WEEK 6

Cole was everywhere against Alabama, finishing with eight tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss and two pass breakups. He attacked downhill, held up in coverage and consistently disrupted what the Crimson Tide wanted to do. Georgia needed a shark on defense, and Cole smelled blood.

TATE SANDELL, K, OKLAHOMA

HELMET STICKERS: WEEK 6

With the Red River Rivalry tied and the pressure at its highest, Sandell drilled a 47-yard field goal as time expired to give Oklahoma a 27–24 upset of No. 1 Texas. Kickers are football players too—and anyone who wins the Red River Rivalry with one swing of his leg gets a helmet sticker.

Those are my helmet stickers for Week 6. Who did I miss?
